2009 - A Note From Webmaster Mike

With this being one of the biggest political years in our lifetimes, now is the time to act, the time to stand up, and the time to speak with one common voice. In the past our Organization has been known  primarily for it's diligence in protecting Freedom of Helmet choice; but I feel that now is the time to unite behind a much more fundamental cause - Freedom and Liberty. I ask every reader to ponder, with the full frontal assault on our Bill of Rights, including the basics;  Habeas Corpus, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Assembly, "what good is the freedom of helmet choice in a police state"? I ask you to think long and hard about the terrifying fact that YOU can be declared an enemy of the state without any access to your constitutional rights. The fundamental rights paid for in blood by our forefathers; we are not Citizens anymore, but merely subjects, property of the state, mere cattle to serve and obey those who think they know what is best for us.

No matter what political party you belong to; do not trust your liberty to them. It is up to each and every one of us to be vigilant and provide oversight to OUR Representatives. Now is the time to make our voices heard, not just at COC meetings and Biker Hangouts - BUT in the halls and offices of OUR Government, making sure that every Candidate accepts he is the Servant of the People - NOT our Overlord. The Governments  power is from US, the PEOPLE. The Presidency does not have the power to invade our privacy, to use fear as a weapon, to have the United States Government  to use the very methods of Hitler, Stalin and Mao against us, it's own Citizens.

We have a blessing to be able to ride free, a blessing paid for in sweat and blood by many good men and women since the very beginnings of our great country. I for one, once made a sacred pledge; to "fight all enemies, both foreign and domestic" . I have absolutely no intention on letting the generations that will follow us to say how we let Liberty and Freedom die for the Illusion of "Safety" and the moral decay of complacence. It is every Generations' duty to keep the flame of Liberty burning, it is our time NOW.

"Real" ID  

It is getting Scary out there - the Feds are here - freedom has left the building!
 

If your state did not request a REAL ID extension by March 31, 2008, beginning May 11, 2008, you will not be able to use your state-issued driver's license or identification card for an official purpose, such as accessing a federal facility, boarding a federally-regulated commercial aircraft, or entering a nuclear power plant.

You can still present another form of acceptable identification such as a U.S. passport, military ID, or government identification badge.

If you do not have another form of acceptable documentation, you may experience delays at the airport due to the requirement for additional security screening.

H.R. 1279 ON THE FAST TRACK-WE MUST ACT NOW

It is critical that we get these letters that we have been passing out at our Confederation of Clubs meetings signed and sent to your Senator and Congress Members.

While we have been pushing these letters to Senate and Congress regarding all these bills that are taking our rights away as American Citizens, Congress has managed to sneak in a new bill, which we have talked about at the meetings. The bill is H.R. 1279, which is related to S. 155, and H.R. 970, which is all Gang, related bills. HR. 1279 was introduced on March 14, 2005 by Representative Randy J. Forbes: this bill has made it further under the chain of command then any other Gang Bill, and as you all know that if you ride in a group of three or more you are considered a Gang. We all have to get our letters in to Senate and Congress to get this bill stopped, it is moving so fast we will have to work quickly. A Mark-up session was held on April 13, 2005, the views of both sides are studied in detail and at the conclusion a vote is taken to determine the action of the subcommittee. It may decide to report the bill favorable to the full committee, with or without amendment, or favorable, or without recommendation. The subcommittee may also suggest that the committee “table” it or postpone action indefinitely. Each member of the subcommittee, regardless of party affiliation, has one vote. Proxy voting is no longer permitted in House committees. It was ordered to be reported amended on April 20, 2005, to a full committee meeting. Final committee action is a full committee meeting; reports on bills may be made by subcommittees. Bills are read for amendment in committees by sections and members may offer germane amendments.

Committee’s amendments are only proposals to change the bill as introduced and are subject to acceptance or rejection by the house itself. A vote of committee members is taken to determine whether the full committee will report the bill favorably, adversely, or without recommendation. As you can see time is of the essence, we are going to have to move fast on the bill as it is on the fast track, this bill has passed further through all the committees and subcommittees than any other Gang Bill, while we set idly by and let it happen without evening knowing it. As American Citizens our rights are being stripped from us and we don’t even know it. As American Citizens we must all stand together and let the government hear our voices, as we are the voices for this country and we have that right to be heard. We are Not Gangs, we are men and women from all walks of life that enjoy the freedom of riding our bikes, enjoying the company of other fellow riders, and enjoy life and they are trying to take that away from us. What’s next, they go after our children for hanging out with friends, and riding their Bicycles. What is this country coming to, that they can tell us we can’t ride in a group of three or more or if we do we are a Gang, or they will deicide who you can associate with. I thought we lived in the Land of the FREE, which is no longer. The government is trying to dictate our lives and that is not being FREE. What happened to FREEDOM of CHOICE?

Gathering of Eagles


On March 17, 2007 a group of anti-war protestors are planning to march  to the Pentagon from Washington, D.C. The March 17th anti-war demonstration will assemble at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at 12 noon in Washington, D.C. and march to the Pentagon. In order to ensure that the Wall and other Memorials in the general area are not defaced, like what happened at the anti-war demonstration at the U.S. Capitol on January 27th, we must rally as many people as we can to meet at the Wall no later than 8:00 AM on the 17th. This memorial, means the world to many of us, and it must be protected. We cannot allow the Cindy Sheehans and Jane Fondas to dishonor the memory of our Fallen Brothers before beginning their trek to betray and dishonor our serving sons.
