A Note From Webmaster Mike,
Now is the time to act, the time to
stand up, and the time to speak with a sturdy voice. In the past our
Organization has been known primarily for it's diligence in
protecting Freedom of Helmet choice; but I feel that now is the time
to unite behind a much more fundamental cause - Freedom and Liberty.
I ask every reader to ponder, with the full frontal assault on our
Bill of Rights, including the basics; Habeas Corpus, Freedom of
Speech, Freedom of Assembly, "what good is the freedom of helmet
choice in a police state"? I ask you to think long and hard about
the terrifying fact that YOU can be declared an enemy of the state
without any access to your constitutional rights.
It started years ago, it is not a
Republican or a Democrat thing. Under President Bush we got the
Patriot Act, Under President Obama we get the NDAA. Both Parties
need to have their feet held to the fire. It is now time to stand up
and ACT. I encourage every member to find the time to get involved
in politics. We will not always agree on who to support, but if we
flex our muscles in the 2012 election with our faces and our patches
at political rally's and events, we can no longer be stereotyped and
marginalized. Our time is now - I will follow up and do more work on
this page as we build consensus and a plan to make sure we are
heard.
